Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK has witnessed a significant shift towards digital mental health services. The necessity of social distancing and lockdown measures accelerated the adoption of online treatment, transforming the way mental health support is accessed and delivered. Due to the current Covid-19 situation, all hypnotherapy sessions are currently conducted via Zoom.

Absolutely, online hypnotherapy is just as effective, there is no difference. Some people feel even more relaxed and comfortable working from their own home or office which can only add to the positive outcome as we work together. In fact, recent research backs this up and with one report concluding that online hypnotherapy lead to better progress and was more effective compared to face to face therapy.

3. Can hypnosis be done online?

Hypnosis doesn’t rely on having a therapist in the room with you. We all go in and out of this hypnotic state several times a day, often when we are focused on the task in hand. Have you ever been watching a good film or reading a book and completely lost track of time? Trance is a very natural and safe state where you will remain in complete control and can easily achieve as long as you can hear the guided relaxation.

Using Zoom for virtual hypnotherapy sessions couldn’t be easier. Once we’ve agreed a time for your session, you’ll just need a reliable internet connection and a quiet, comfortable place to relax. I’ll send you a unique link for each session which is safe and secure and only you will have access to it. Just click your link and follow the instructions to join your session. You can use your laptop, tablet or phone to join your session.

5. How do I know if hypnotherapy online will work for me?

Online hypnotherapy is just as effective as face to face there is no difference.
